 The Federal Executive Council has approved the sum of N580.5 million for the purchase of four armoured vehicles for use by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).   The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the commencement of the implementation of the new National teaching policy for Teachers. This was disclosed by the Minister of Education at a press conference to herald the commemoration of the 2022 World teachers day in Abuja. The Minister called on State governments to also ensure the implementation of the policy in their various States. The federal government at the 2020 edition of the World Teachers Day celebration announced a new national teaching policy for Nigerian teachers. The policy includes new teachers' salary structure and a new retirement age of 65 years. After several months of waiting anxiously, the federal government says it has now commenced the implementation but state governments are yet to do the same. According to a note dated August 19, 2022, from the embassy of Qatar in Abuja to the ministry of foreign affairs, the dates of the proposed visitation “are not suitable”. The note established that Nigeria had communicated in writing that Buhari had “accepted to visit Qatar on 11-12 September 2022 on the invitation of H.H Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar”.
