GWAMNA ADELEKE NA JIHAR OSUN ZAI ƊAUKAKA ƘARA KAN HUKUNCIN KOTU

Gwamnan jihar Osun, Sanata Ademola Adeleke ya ce zai ɗaukaka ƙara game da hukuncin da kotun sauraron ƙorafe-ƙorafen zaɓe ta yanke, inda ta soke zaɓen da aka yi masa a matsayin gwamna.

Acikin martanin da ya yi ta hannun mai magana da yawunsa, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke na jam’iyyar PDP

ya bayyana hukuncin kotun a matsayin kuskure.

Ya ce lamarin rashin adalci ne, wanda ya ci karo da muradin mafi yawan al’ummar jiohar.

A ranar jumu’ar nan ne kotun sauraron ƙorafe-ƙorafen zaɓe ta soke zaɓen da aka yi wa Ademola Adeleke na jam’iyyar PDP a matsayin gwamnan jihar Osun.

Kotun ta kuma ce tsohon gwamnan jihar, Adegboyega Oyetola na jam’iyyar APC ne ya lashe zaɓen idan aka yi la’akari da yawan ƙuri’un da aka kaɗa bayan kawar da ƙuri’un da aka yi aringizo.

A lokacin da yake yanke hukuncin, Mai shari’a Tetsea Kume, ya ce Hukumar zaɓe mai zaman kanta ta ƙasa,  INEC ba ta bi tanade-tanaden dokar zaɓe da na Ƙundin tsarin mulki yadda ya kamata ba.

A cewar kotun, idan aka cire ƙuri’un da ake zargin an yi aringizo, Adegboyega Oyetola na APC ya samu yawan ƙuri’u 314,921 yayin da Ademola Adeleke na PDP ya samu ƙuri’u 290,266.

Gwamna Adeleke ya buƙaci magoya bayansa su kwantar da hankalinsu, kuma a cewar sa, har yanzu shi ne halastaccen gwamnan jihar.

Tragedy in Bukuru: Trader Killed, Two Injured in JMDB Task Force Operation

A tragic incident occurred in Bukuru, Jos South LGA, on Monday, resulting in the death of a trader, Nasiru Abubakar, and injuring two others. The incident happened during an enforcement operation by the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB) task force. The Nigerian Police Logo According to reports, the task force was attempting to disperse a group of criminal elements when a warning shot was fired, unfortunately hitting the trader. The incident also resulted in the destruction of several vehicles, with over five cars set ablaze. The Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, promptly visited the scene to assess the situation, and normalcy has been restored. NIGERIANS LOSING INTEREST IN FIGHTING CORRUPTION – EFCC

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has lamented the loss of interest in the whistleblowing policy of the federal government despite the huge financial reward attached to it. The executive chairman of the commission, Abdullahi Bawa, revealed this yesterday during a one-day town hall meeting on strengthening the capacity of stakeholders on the whistleblowing policy held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. The programme with the theme, “The role of community based organisations in entrenching whistleblowing at the grassroots,” was in partnership with the African Centre for Media and Information Literacy (AFRICMIL) and supported by the MacArthur Foundation.  He said, “Two of the landmark recoveries from whistle-blowers’ information were the $9.8m recovered from a former managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr Andrew Yakubu, and the $11 million recovered at an apartment in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos. “This seeming loss of interest...
