Breaking News.

 A Federal High Court in Abuja has declined the extradition application filed by the Federal Government for permission to extradite the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari to the United States (US).

Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a judgment held that the extradition application was an abuse of the court process, on the grounds that Mr. Kyari was already standing a criminal trial before a Nigerian court.


The US authorities had applied to the Nigerian government for Mr. Kyari’s extradition in relation to his alleged link with suspected international fraudster, Ramon Abbas (hushpuppi).

Security forces apprehended a middle-aged woman, Aisha Abubakar, from Katsina State, while she was on a bus traveling to Abuja from Katsina. The woman was found in possession of a stolen AK-47 rifle, prompting her arrest. Tragedy at the National Assembly: Customs Officer Passes Away

Tragedy struck at the National Assembly on Tuesday when a senior officer of the Nigeria Customs Service passed away during a meeting with a House Committee.
